Outstanding Graduates Program

Deadline for nominations is February 1.

The Outstanding Graduates program was established by the Alumni Association in 1973 to recognize outstanding achievement. At first, no distinction was made between categories, but beginning in 1977, awards were presented in specific fields: business/professional, education and humanitarian.

In 1984, the Recognition Award was added to honor someone who has made significant achievements within five years of graduation. The Ranger Recognition Award, first awarded in 1990, celebrates support of the university and the embodiment of Ranger spirit. An arts category was introduced in 2010.

  • A category of achievement need not be specified for Outstanding Graduate nominee. This will be determined by the board.
  • The nominee for Recognition Award must have graduated within the last five years.
  • A nominee must be a former student who has demonstrated recognizable accomplishment in his/her profession, business, avocation, or life services in a way as to bring pride and honor to the University.
  • Please provide a letter of nomination. If you need assistance in compiling information about your nomination, notify the Alumni Office.

You may use our online form to place your nomination. Nominees must be able to attend the Spring Reunion Banquet the last Saturday of April.

Thank you for your support of the Alumni Association. We look forward to hearing from you!
