PAT HEADLEE, Chair
Alva, OK
Pat Headlee recieved her Bachelor of Science degree in business education from Northwestern State College in 1970. She taught for one year at Breckenridge High School in San Antonio, Texas. In 1973, she returned to Alva and began working for The Central National Bank of Alva as a late shift drive-in teller. Pat is now the executive vice president and trust officer. She has served on the Northwestern Foundation Board of Trustees and has been active in the Northwestern Scholarship Drive in Alva for many years. |

BILL BIXLER
Waynoka, OK
Bill Bixler received a Bachelor
of Science degree from Northwestern State College
in
1970 and recieved his Master of Education degree in 1974. He taught and coached for 12 years in Kansas and Texas before getting into the well-servicing industry. Bill worked for the Pool Company and WellTech Mid-Continent, Inc. Under his direction, WellTech became a billion dollar company. In 2004 he formed First Call Energy Service Corporation and recently sold it to a company based out of Michigan. He farms and ranches in the Waynoka area and is the owner of ClayMesa Well Service Company. |

DR. JANET CUNNINGHAM
Alva, OK
Dr. Janet Cunningham began serving as the 19th president
of Northwestern Oklahoma State University on July 1, 2006 following her
appointment by the Board of Regents of the Regional University System of
Oklahoma.
She became just the second alumnus and first woman
to serve as president of the institution.
She joined the faculty at Northwestern in 1979 and continued
teaching until 1985, when she became an instructor at the University of
Oklahoma while her husband attended law school there. She returned to teaching
at Northwestern in 1988.
Janet earned a doctorate in education from Oklahoma
State University and has both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees
from |

Northwestern. She also has completed
professional education at the Institute of Educational Management at Harvard
University and through the College Business Management Institute at the
University of Kentucky. In 2001, she became a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma.
A leader in civic affairs, Janet serves on the executive
committee of the Alva Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Woods
County Economic Development Association. She has also served in numerous
volunteer capacities with organizations connected to the Alva Public Schools.
Janet and her husband, Rick, a local attorney, have four children: sons
Brett, Tanner and Drew, and a daughter, Allison. |

BARTLETT A. BOUSE
Woodward, OK
Bartlett A. Bouse received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Northwestern Oklahoma State University
in
1990.
He
graduated with a Juris
Doctorate from the University Of Oklahoma College Of Law in July of 1993.
Before long, Bart earned a job as a research assistant and was later
promoted to Assistant District Attorney in Woodward. Bart
has been in private practice since 1999. He is a member the American Bar
Association
and the Oklahoma Bar Association and is also active in children’s
service activities such as Western Plains Youth and Family Services and
the Woodward United Fund. |

BYRON KOEHN, President
Alva, OK
Byron Koehn, class of 1980, majored in geography and minored in psychology and sociology. He is a member of the Rowdy Rangers, Grid Iron Club and has served on the Alva Golf and Country Club Board of Directors since 2008.
Byron's hobbies include most anything outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and golfing.
Byron and his wife, Karen (Bishop), were married in 1982 and reside in Alva. He works for Merrifield Office Supply in Alva. |

DONOVAN REICHENBERGER
Alva, OK
A veteran of WWII and the Korean War, Donovan Reichenberger joined the Northwestern
faculty in 1967. After a career in the U. S. Navy, he earned his bachelor’s degree
from Northwestern in 1966 and a master’s degree from Wichita State in 1967.
Donovan is a member of the Tyler Trust Board. He has
also served on the Share Medical Center Board of Trustees, Alva Centennial
Commission
and
as chairman and member of various Northwestern faculty committees. |

HELEN THIESING
Alva, OK
Helen Thiesing was a co-owner of Tri-K Equipment and served as the secretary
and treasurer for over 40 years until she retired in 2006. She was the
chair of the NWOSU Scholarship Drive in 1977 and has worked on the annual
drive every year. Helen is a trustee of the Share Medical Center Foundation
and is a member of the Presidential Partners of NWOSU. She is a very active
member in the Lutheran Church in Alva.
Helen’s late husband, Kenneth, also served many years on the Foundation
Executive Committee. They have two children, Kevin and Kelly, and three
grandchildren, Kassandra, Kaylee and April. |

ALLEN E. BIRD
Alva, OK
Allen (Skeeter) Bird is a 1985 Northwestern graduate with a degree in
history. He received his master’s of public administration in 1998
from the University of Anchorage.
Upon graduation from Northwestern, Skeeter signed on with the Army and
remained in active service until 1998. In that year he became a full-time
member of the Army National Guard and was stationed in Alaska until 2005.
During his military career as an Army aviator, he served in various positions
which included: Platoon Leader, Company Commander, Financial Manager, and
Battalion Commander. In July of 2005, after attaining the rank of Lieutenant
Colonel, Skeeter retired from the Army National Guard and assumed responsibilities
as the Chief Executive Officer for the Foundation. |

DON DAUPHIN
Woodward, OK
Don Dauphin received his Bachelor of Science degree in economics with a minor in sociology from Northwestern State College in January 1957. He worked as a statistician for Boeing Airplane Co. in Wichita for three years before starting a 40-year career as an agent for Farmers Insurance Group in Woodward, retiring in July 2000.
Don has served on the Northwestern Foundation Board of Trustees since 2008. He has been an active, charter member of the Wooward Rotary Club since 1962, a member of the First United Methodist Church for 50 years, where he served on various committees, and an active member of BPOE also for 50 years. |

J. STEWART ARTHURS
Cushing, OK
Stewart Arthurs is a 1962 graduate of Northwestern with a major in history and minors in economics and English. He did post-graduate work at the London School of Economics on a Rotary Foundation Fellowship and received a Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1966.
He began practicing law in Cushing in 1966, serving as city attorney there since 1970. He attained the rank of colonel in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps of the Army, retiring in 1996 after thirty years of military service.
He has served on the Board of Governors of the Oklahoma Bar Association and as a trustee of the Oklahoma Bar Foundation. He is a fellow of the American Bar Foundation and a benefactor fellow of the Oklahoma Bar Foundation. He is a member of the American, Oklahoma and Payne County Bar Associations; International Association of Municipal Attorneys; and Oklahoma Association of Municipal Attorneys.
In 1994, Stewart was inducted into the Northwestern Sports Hall of Fame. He has served as president of Cushing Lions Club and is on the Executive Committee of Cushing United Fund. He is an active member of First United Methodist Church. He has four daughters: Adrienne, Dawn, Stephanie and Jamie. |
